2024 PSTO Bylaws Adoption Notes
The PSTO Board has approved and recommended the adoption of new bylaws and standing rules. Below is a list of substantial changes in comparison to the current bylaws. If you have additional questions email President@ethspsto.org
ARTICLE IV – MEMBERSHIP AND DUES

Updated definition of member, eligibility and timeframe
ARTICLE V – OFFICERS AND THEIR ELECTION

Parliamentarian will be appointed instead of elected, to ensure this person is someone who the board has confidence in their knowledge base of meeting procedure

Added clearly defined procedures for Nominating Committee

Clarification on eligibility for elections

Changed the election meeting from May to March to allow time for the incoming board to train, plan and coordinate with the outgoing board.

Added new term for VP Chargers 5k, changed from July-June to August-July to ensure coverage of 5k event by the outgoing officer.
ARTICLE VI – DUTIES OF OFFICERS AND CHAIRPERSONS

Added procedure for removal of an officer
ARTICLE VII – GENERAL MEETINGS

Changed the election meeting from May to March to allow time for the incoming board to train, plan and coordinate with the outgoing board.
ADDED STANDING RULES

PSTO does not currently have standing rules.

Increase dues from $20 family/$10 Staff, to $25 family/$15 Staff

Added job descriptions for officers and chairs

Added position of Executive VP, second in line to President.

Added limited authorization for the Board to pay bills for budgeted expenditures and unbudgeted PSTO bills between General Meetings.
